Health Outreach & Education Coordinator (Part-Time)

Position Purpose:

The Health Outreach & Education Coordinator will plan and implement monthly Health Outreach including coordination of medical volunteers, medical services and screenings, and education offerings. They will be integral to patient treatment, education, follow up, and clinical data gathering. This position will have a role in the evaluation of the Health Outreach, helping to ensure that it accomplishes its objectives and effectively measures and reports outcomes. They will complete the Medical Homes for the Homeless Project by developing and implementing health education curriculum specific to program participants.

 

Requirements:

  • Professional registered nurse with current Wisconsin license, management experience preferred.

  • Minimum five years’ experience in a clinic or hospital setting

  • Experience in nonprofit, social service or ministry organization

  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communications skills.

  • Ability to perform responsibilities in a self-directed environment.

  • Evidence of spiritual maturity, including integrity, humility, and self-discipline.

  • Cross-cultural experience an asset

  • Problem solving ability

  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word

  • Ability to follow directions with accuracy

  • Ability to take initiative to solve problems

  • Ability to function effectively in an environment requiring multi-tasking

  • Good written and oral communications skills

  • Ability to perform responsibilities in a self-directed environment

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to reference instructions and processes to solve problems

  • Growing relationship with Christ and involvement in a local church

  • Evidence of spiritual maturity, including integrity, humility and self-discipline
