In December 2016 it was announced that City on a Hill and Executive Director Diane De La Santos have been selected as finalists for the MANDI (Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation) awards in two separate categories.
City on a Hill was chosen as one of three finalists for the BMO Harris Bank Cornerstone Award, which recognizes an organization for tenacious commitment and effectiveness over time.
Diane De La Santos was chosen as one of three finalists for the Northern Trust Navigator Award, which recognizes an individual for outstanding leadership and collaboration.
The MANDIs recognize individuals, organizations and projects that enrich central city neighborhoods. The awards pay tribute to the people and organizations working tirelessly to make Milwaukee a great place to live, learn, work and grow.
Sponsored by U.S. Bank, in partnership with LISC Milwaukee, the MANDIs recognize individuals, organizations, and corporations who are improving conditions in Milwaukee’s central city neighborhoods. Finalists are selected from public nominations by a 40-member, independent, cross-sector volunteer committee. Three finalists are chosen for each award category.
As finalists, both City on a Hill and Diane De La Santos are also eligible for the $1,000 Wells Fargo People's Choice Award! You can view videos about all of the finalists and cast your vote here.
The MANDIs will be held Thursday, April 6, at the Potawatomi Event Center. For more information on the Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development click here.
